Spring has sprung! We have had rain for the past few days (Praise be to God!) but today, the spring storms have popped up. We were supposed to have hail, but I didn't get any at my house. Weather Story
So, this blog is to acquaint people with the great state of Olahoma, so let me provide some links. For anyone wishing to move to our neck of the woods, these should be a grat way to begin learning about your future home.
We are called Native America for many reasons. This is a land with deep roots and the people who live here have made it home for a very long time. True, compared to some other countries around the world, our history is still very young but it is strong and clear.
The capitol of Oklahoma is, of course, Oklahoma City and we have a lot about which we can boast. Take some time to click on the links I've provided to learn a little bit more.
I first came to Oklahoma as a young girl. Like many people, I thought of the state as a flat piece of prairie. But, through the years I've lived here I've been regularly surprised by the variety of the land and the people.
We've been through a lot in a relatively short peroid of time. We have not yet celebrated our centennial as a state - that will be in 2007 but the planning is already in full swing. As details become available, I'll post more information.
If your are interested in digging a little deeper, here is a brief history of Oklahoma.
That is all for today. Please post comments if you'd like.
